Liip AG provides a data API for one of the largest swiss retail companies. Elasticsearch is the main data store. Martin Janser and David Buchmann will share some learnings and patterns from the project.
The API is read-only. Data is imported from various business systems and then aggregated and optimized for real-time access and querying in Elasticsearch. Interesting challenges include efficiently synchronizing changes from the business systems and temporal data like prices and discounts.
